My Target Audience

This is the list of demographics and psychographics I have researched on my target audience.

1. Product/Company Description:

  • Company/Product Name: RedBull

  • Product Overview: An energy drink that can aid with exhaustion; a drink to quickly get fully energized.


2. Target Audience Demographics:

  • Age: Teenagers, 14- 18,

  • Gender: Mostly Men

  • Income Level: Medium to low

  • Education: High school - bachelor

  • Occupation: Truck driver, or office worker

  • Geographical Location: Targeting a global audience.

3. Target Audience Psychographics:

  • Interests: Car enthusiasts

  • Lifestyle Choices: People with boring lives, people who want to do more than just eat, work, and sleep, people who love speeding in cars

  • Values and Attitudes: Adventurous, Want to look cool

  • Opinions: People who really like cars


4. Understanding Consumer Behavior:

  • Needs: Energy supplements

  • Motivations: Red Bull has been the main host for thrilling events such as dirt bike races, daring challenges, etc

  • Pain Points: Needing more energy because they are exhausted or sleepy

5. Competitor Analysis:

  • Competitor Name: Energy drink: monster, extra joss, etc

  • Competitor's Target Audience: Truck driver, young adults


6. Target Audience Persona:

  • Persona Name: Tired teenagers, exhausted from studying at late night - still needing to study.

  • Age: 14-18

  • Gender: More to men

  • Occupation: None- Studying at school

  • Interests: Cars, Night Parties

  • Lifestyle: Studies late at night, sleep very late

  • Values and Attitudes: School is important, neglects sleep

  • Needs and Motivations: Focuses on school work or grades.

  • Pain Points: Tiredness, lack of energy, lack of sleep


7. Aligning Advertisement with Target Audience:

  • Message: Red Bull gives you energy

  • Visuals: Matches with what people enjoy to see, such as cars.

  • Tone: [Explain the tone or mood that will evoke the desired emotions in the target audience]


With the help of researching and studying the different categories of targeted audiences; I could now choose the suitable elements that aim at this group of people. With the suitable choice of media elements, my advertisement would have a greater impact on the audience and persuade them more. I think doing the research for this was easy for me because I myself am part of the selected group of people, looking at my interests made it easier for me to understand the psychographics of my targeted audience. Researching my target audience will help make it easier for me to think about each detail of the advertisement.
